Essential Services Officer / Mechanic

Aputula Housing Association Inc. operates as a Community Government Council in the Northern Territory and is seeking the services of a self motivated and energetic person to fill the position of ESSENTIAL SERVICES OFFICER/ MECHANIC.

The salary offered for the ESO position is in the range of $ 40,000 – $ 50,000 inclusive of District Allowance (depending on qualifications and experience), and is inclusive of a reasonable amount of overtime that may be required from time to time. The salary package also includes a furnished house provided by Council at a subsidized rent of $30 per week, inclusive of electricity and the Community Services Levy. Telephone services are available. There is 6 weeks leave at the completion of 12 months continuous service and there is 2 days time off every month in lieu of overtime which is not accumulative and cannot be redeemed in cash. A work vehicle is available for business purposes. An annual leave airfare for yourself and dependent family living with you in the community, from Alice Springs to your nominated place of engagement, based on the value of bookings made three weeks in advance. If travel is by other means then payment will be made up to the value of the airfare above.

The successful applicant is required to sign a Contract for a period of twelve (12) months within 7 working days of accepting the position. A probationary period of three (3) months and performance assessment applies to the position.
